In this episode of No Laughing Matter with Cuba Pete, he is visited by the Captain of the Bolden Area Command for Las Vegas Metro Police Department. They will discuss the important role safety plays in community health and how Las Vegas police department is doing to help communities stay safe and healthy. Capt Hank is responsible for a historic district with a rich history in Las Vegas, he will discuss that history and how its informs his culture at the Bolden Area Command and his leadership of the officers under his command.
About our guest .. Police Captain with the Las Vegas Metropolitan
Police Department. He began his career with the Las Vegas Police
Metropolitan Police Department as a Corrections Officer in 2000.
He is a native of Lake Charles, LA., graduating from LaGrange High
School, then served his country for twelve years in the United
States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Carlos
graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Criminal Justice. In February of 2020, Carlos was
promoted to Captain and entrusted with commanding all aspects
of Bolden Area Command. Bolden Area Command encompasses
approximately 17 square miles in and around the historic West
Side of Las Vegas. The area command places a considerable
interest in strengthening its relationship with the community and
conducts over 100 community events each year.
